Kinti Med
Terms and conditions
Last updated: 2026-08-23
The terms under which Kinti Med provides the service. The Spanish version is the governing one.
This text describes what the system actually does, verified against the code. Review by a lawyer is still pending.
01What is contracted
Kinti Med is a clinical management system for medical practices: clinical records, scheduling, prescriptions and lab orders, procedures, consents, catalogues and alerts, plus Killa, an assistant that handles patients over WhatsApp.
Access is by invitation. There is no open registration and no self-service free trial: each practice is onboarded after a demonstration and once terms are agreed.
02What Kinti Med is NOT
It is not a medical device and is not registered as one. It is a management and support tool.
The assistant does not diagnose, prescribe or modify doses, and does not replace clinical judgement. It answers only from what already appears in the patient’s record, and every answer passes an automatic verification that, in case of doubt, replaces it with a notice that there is not enough information.
Emergency triage recognises a fixed set of danger phrases and escalates to the physician when one appears. It is a safeguard, not an emergency medical service: it does not replace 911 or an emergency department, and it cannot detect every possible emergency.
Clinical responsibility for the patient remains with the health professional.
03Practice obligations
Keep credentials secure and do not share them. Everyone using the panel must have their own account.
Collect patient consent through the means the system provides, and do not record data of people you do not treat.
Review what you issue. No proposal from the system — including the voice assistant’s draft clinical record — is saved without the physician reviewing and confirming it.
04Price and billing
The subscription costs twenty-five US dollars per month per practice, with value added tax included in that figure. It is a single rate: no tiers, no bands by number of patients or users, and no features billed separately. Billing is monthly and the payment method is set out in each practice’s agreement.
Each charge is invoiced to the practice under its taxpayer registration number, as an electronic tax document submitted to the Ecuadorian tax authority for authorisation. The authorised invoice is available in the panel, under billing, with its access key and authorisation number.
The rate may change in future. A price change is communicated to the practice at least thirty days in advance and does not apply to a period already invoiced; a practice that does not accept it may terminate before the change takes effect, with no penalty.
05Availability, suspension and termination
The service is provided with due diligence, but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
The panel keeps a reduced mode: with a session already open and no connection, it continues to show the last data consulted and allows pausing the assistant and handling alerts. Other writes are blocked with an explicit notice, and that mode does not replace a connection.
Non-payment may lead to suspension of the service, with prior notice. Suspension does not delete data.
A practice may terminate at any time. Before closure, export of the clinical information in a readable format is provided.
06Who owns the data
Clinical information belongs to the patient and to the practice that records it. Kinti Med holds it in custody to provide the service and acquires no rights over it. It is not used to train models and is not shared commercially.
The software, the brand and the design belong to Kinti Med.
07Liability
Kinti Med is liable for the operation of the service on the agreed terms. It is not liable for clinical decisions, which rest with the professional, nor for use of the system outside these terms.
08Governing law
These terms are governed by Ecuadorian law. Any dispute is submitted to the competent courts of Ecuador.
